Our initial cognitive walkthroughs involved each member trying to navigate the app while testing each core feature that we had planned to implement. Some of the tasks we tried to complete from the perspective of a user were:
- Can a user log into the app, select a route, and click start route?
- Can a user login, select the options menu, and navigate to a specific setting?
- Can a user reasonably find the logout button?
- Can a user look at their friends list and add new friends?
- Do the screens have back buttons or ways to exit out of the current screen?
- Upon landing on a new screen, would a first time user feel overwhelmed?
